CHT is delivered in-house by a Certified Healthcare Transporter Instructor (CHTI) - one of your own leaders, certified to teach the endorsed curriculum. If your hospital doesn't have a CHTI yet, share the employer page with your manager.

The standard materials and certification fees total $355: $325 for the Patient Transport Complete Participant Set plus a $30 certification fee with the completed credential package. Shipping and taxes apply where applicable. Instructor-led training and competency validation must be arranged through your hospital; buying materials does not earn the credential. All CHT courses, materials, and assessments are in English. An English version is the only one available at this time.

Your instructor sets the schedule. CHT-1 takes about 16 classroom hours, or one topic per shift over about 11 shifts. CHT-2 takes about five days of class or sessions spread across shifts, plus at least two weeks of on-the-job observation per module. CHT-3 takes about 19.5 hours.
